Straw work can last for decades if looked after well. Display or store your item in a dry area indoors, keep away from damp as straw is a natural material and will blacken and go mouldy if left in damp areas.

Occasionally straw work attracts corn moth that feed on the corn grains. If your item has wheat ears and you notice any small light brown moths present, take your item outside, shake of the moth/s and pop it in your freezer for a couple of weeks. It will then be fine to display again.
